The Yucatan White Habanero is an interesting looking member of the Capsicum chinense species. The peppers are shaped like jelly beans and mature from green to white. They are from Mexico, presumably the Yucatan Peninsula, where they get their name, and they add authentic Mexican flavor to salsas, hot sauces, and any other dish you can think of. They have heat similar to the Red Savina, so they are not to be messed with! Definitely one of the hottest habanero varieties, with a slightly smoky flavor.
