Lobster Tacos Recipe with Habanero Peppers
Dehydrated and crushed habanero peppers make for an excellent spice level in this succulent lobster taco meal. Go big on the homemade guacamole. It is always a hit.
Ingredients
- 2 medium sized lobster tails
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons habanero powder
- 1 medium avocado, peeled and pitted
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon fresh chopped cilantro
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 roasted jalapeno peppers, julienned
- Choppped red onion for topping
- 8 corn tortillas, warmed
- Your favorite hot sauce
Cooking Directions
- Heat a pan to medium heat.
- Remove shells from lobster tails and coarsely chop. Add to a bowl and toss with olive oil. Add 1 teaspooon habanero powder, salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook the lobster about 4 minutes, tossing frequently, until lobster is cooked through. Remove from heat and cover to keep warm.
- For guacamole, to a mixing bowl, add avocado, lime juice, cilantro, salt and pepper to taste and 1 teaspoon habanero powder. Mix well.
- Warm tortillas. Top each with lobster meat, then jalapeno peppers, guacamole, and red onion.
- Serve with your favorite hot sauce.
